HPFC is dedicated to fostering a SAFE and inclusive environment in sports, free from bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, and civil rights violations. Our organization is committed to preventing and addressing these issues by providing resources, education, and support. We believe in the POWER of reporting to create POSITIVE change, and that's why we offer an online reporting tool to ensure that athletes, families, and participants have a SECURE and CONFIDENTIAL platform to report any concerns they may have. Together, we can build a sports community where EVERYONE feels RESPECTED, PROTECTED, and EMPOWERED. If you have experienced or witnessed any incidents related to bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, or civil rights violations, we encourage you to use our online reporting tool. Your voice MATTERS, and we are here to LISTEN. Let's work TOGETHER to create a SAFE and INCLUSIVE sporting environment for all.
Bullying refers to aggressive behavior intended to cause harm, discomfort, or fear. In the context of sports, it can involve verbal insults, threats, exclusion, or physical aggression. Harassment, on the other hand, involves unwanted and persistent behavior that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment. Bullying and harassment can have serious consequences on athletes' mental, emotional, and physical well-being. We are committed to addressing these issues by providing resources and support to prevent and respond to instances of bullying and harassment in sports.
Sexual harassment refers to unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a sexual nature. It creates a hostile and uncomfortable environment for individuals involved in sports. Sexual misconduct involves any non-consensual or inappropriate sexual behavior that violates the boundaries of individuals. We are dedicated to providing education, training, and support to prevent and address instances of sexual harassment and misconduct, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
Civil rights violations encompass any actions that infringe upon an individual's rights to fair and equal treatment based on characteristics such as race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or religion. In the context of sports, this can include discriminatory practices, exclusion, or unequal treatment based on these protected characteristics.
We are committed to upholding civil rights and ensuring equality and fairness in sports by providing resources, education, and support to address and prevent civil rights violations.
In addition to our commitment to addressing and resolving incidents of bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, and civil rights violations, HPFC encourages families and individuals to report any concerns to the US Center for SafeSport, an independent organization dedicated to promoting safe and respectful sporting environments.
We recognize the importance of multiple reporting options and understand that different individuals may feel more comfortable approaching different entities. We assure you that all reports made to HPFC or the US Center for SafeSport will be treated with the utmost confidentiality where appropriate. We understand the sensitivity of these matters and will handle each case with discretion, prioritizing the well-being and safety of all involved parties.
By working together and maintaining transparency, we can create a culture of trust and ensure a safe and inclusive sporting environment for everyone.
